A weekend with the grandgirls

Kayla, Colette and Izzy came for a sleepover on Saturday. We had planned on going to Mass on Saturday evening because we had reservations to do a lunch tour at the Castle on Sunday.

Friday’s storms had done a lot of damage around here and knocked power out to 90% of Woodford County, so I was not surprised when I got an email Saturday afternoon cancelling the tour on Sunday. Of course we were all disappointed but decided to have some princess fun anyway!

So first a stop at Mod Pizza (yes, we let them get their pizza however they want)

And a little run time after lunch.

I found some great “ball” gowns on Amazon for the girls so we decided that a fashion show was in order in the evening.

Round one – they really are princesses! And the dresses are worth every penny! The most expensive was 25 bucks!

Grandpa was getting ready to take the dogs on their walk and the girls decided they should go and see if anyone noticed them or said anything.

They were definitely noticed and one gentleman asked if he had seen Kayla in the Godfather!

The girls loved playing in the dresses and decided to leave them on until dinner. They also asked if I had anything I could use to make veils for them. I just happened to have some lace fabric and glued it to a tiara for them.

Round 2

And we have decided the girls can dress like princesses to go to Mass in the morning, after all, they are daughters of the King!

Round 3

And time to get ready for bed

And do some jumping

And grandma is worn out!

Stop to visit with Mary

And pose with friends after Mass

3 lovely ladies!

Breakfast and then some painting.

They tried to talk me into the pool. Said they would love playing in the pool in the rain. Instead…..

Such artists!

We will be rescheduling the Castle tour – hopefully soon!

And I miss the girls already!

To infinity & beyond!
