The first joyful mystery is the Annunciation – I think about all the holy people who had died in faith before the Gabriel came to see Mary. Some, Cain, Adam & Eve, Noah, had waited millennia for the gates of Heaven to be opened. Were they privy to the announcement? Was there celebration in the place of the dead because Mary said yes?
We are a people of the Incarnation and we so often forget.
