Kathy, oh Kathy

Kathy it’s been so long since I have thought of you for an extended time, and since this morning you are in my prayers, I find you also in my heart and my mind.

It’s hard for me to believe you have been gone so much longer than you were alive. I will never forget that call from Dad; “we’ve lost Kathy”. Well, now I hope you and Dad and Theresa are watching over all of us and praying for us.

Kathy, I do miss you and wonder how different it all would be if…….. I know God has a reason for everything and I do trust Him.

Father, this morning I again thank you for my family. I thank you for all the laughter and tears, all the fights and hugs, all the love and the “hate”, all of the ups and the downs I would not trade it for the world!

Watch over my family, let your light shine on them and through them, allow them to be beacons in this dark world.

As I bring Kathy to you this morning I also bring her kids and her grandkids and all generations to come. She has left her mark in this world!

Allow Kathy to be in your presence, to fall at your feet and worship, to feel your loving embrace! It’s truly not eternal rest I seek for her, but instead an eternity of dancing, smiling and praising you with all your angels and saints!

Please help me find true forgiveness in any area that still harbors hurt and blame. I pray for Mike in this hour too, that he can have eternal rest.

I offer my rosary today for Kathy and her intentions, Lord, you know best where these prayers are needed, please make them efficacious.

Mary, our most holy mother, please take these prayers to your Son, ask that He hear and answer them.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for all who will die today, especially those who have no one to pray for them.

Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you! Save souls!

Saint Michael, pray for us!

Derick’s Monday

Father in heaven, my heart is hungry for your word. I believe that you want to speak a word of hope to me today. How good it would be if I were to see myself and my future as you do, but at least I do trust in you. I wish to take up your challenge to be holy, whatever the cost, and I am confident that you will accompany me closely and help me with your grace.

Father, thank you for another day. I know each new day is a gift from you and I want to use that gift for your glory.

Today I pray especially for Derick. What a joy he has added to our family. I have so enjoyed watching him grow and mature. Thank you for Derick, he is truly a blessed gift in our lives.

Please bless Derick, lead him to you. Put people in his life that will point to you. Let your light shine on him and allow him to feel the warmth of that light and the presence of your love. Give him assurance that he has an angel who walks right with him and watches over him.

Please help Derick to trust you.

Bless Derick’s family and friends. Let them be beacons for him. Let them encourage his talents and help him be the person you designed him to be.

Help Derick know how much love he is surrounded with and help him share his love, and his smile, with the world!

Mary, Mother of God, our Queen Mother, with whom Derick shares a birthday, I offer my rosary today for Derick and all the intentions he holds in his heart. Please take these prayers to your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and ask him to hear and answer them.

Watch over all students today, especially Derick, give success to the work of their hands.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Taylor

Good morning Father, thank you for the time I got to spend with the girls yesterday, especially for Colette’s pictures, and then the lessons in conversation and compromise. I love being a part of that!

Thank you for another day to try and do things that please you and help others.

Today Lord, I bring you Taylor. She has grown up so fast and become such a beautiful young lady. Please watch over and bless her, keep her pure of heart and compassionate towards others. Let her have the gift of humility so she can recognize that all good gifts come from you!

Bless Taylor’s family and friends, let your light shine on them.

Please accept this day as a prayer for Taylor. The chores, the laughter, the laundry, the tears, the quiet and the loud, all at your feet.

Grant success to the work of her hands.

Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, today I offer my rosary for Taylor and her intentions. Please take these prayers to your Son and ask Him to hear and answer them.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

What’s it gonna take?

Father, as I sit here in the quiet, in the presence of Jesus, I wonder what’s it gonna take to bring us back to you? I am afraid we have gone so far from you that the road back will not be an easy or painless one. You are probably going to have to shake us up!

Thank you for leading me back to you. For waiting patiently for me and for giving parents who prayed for my return. I pray for all those in my family who have walked away from you for various reasons. Most to do with the world today and the definitions of happiness and freedom that are nothing but a flash in the pan. The world doesn’t want to work towards true happiness and freedom in you.

Help me know how to pray. I desire to be led by your Holy Spirit to know what and how I pray pleases you. I also desire for my prayers to be efficacious for your ends. Please lead me and guide me.

I prayed for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be poured upon me, upon all your children, let me be part of setting the world on fire with faith in you. Please send those gifts, especially on your priests so they will ignite your people. Let your priests see the face of Christ in the Holy Eucharist they confect. Give them a burning faith and love!

Oh how good this world would be if we had the fruits of the Holy Spirit! What true happiness and freedom we would find! Lord, lead us to you! Send your Holy Spirit upon us! Set us ablaze!

Thank you for the day with Colette. Help it be our special time that we both remember with love. Please bless all of my babies, kids and grandkids, let your light shine on them and through them.

I offer my rosary today for Mike and Linda, for Randy and Judy, for Jeff, and for all others experiencing sickness or family problems. Give them strength, peace and patience to face each new day and each new trial. Give them some smiles in their lives!

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!
