I don’t take a Flu shot either

I believe God gave us bodies that work. He made us with bodies that adjust to our surroundings. He made us wonderfully and beautifully!

When I was growing up we were allowed to play outside, all day. We made mud pies and sometimes ate them! We played in the dirt, we played on the asphalt, we played on the concrete, we skinned our knees, tore up our elbows, we broke our arms and legs. We climbed trees, went round and round on the merry-go-rounds (and the daring of us, jumped off while in motion), went high enough on the swings to lift the poles out of the ground and jumped off in mid-air!

We swam in lakes and ponds and swung off tree limbs into the water. We rode our bikes everywhere, including places that were not designed or intended for bike riding. We learned how to ride not only no handed, but with one or two other people on the bike.

We had roller skates that were just a few pieces of metal and some wheels and made homemade skateboards from those skates. We never used helmets, knee pads or elbow pads and most of our cars didn’t have seatbelts.

We played tag, hide and go seek, dodgeball, baseball, football, red rover, and many other games that have been outlawed as too violent.

And we are still here!!

God made us wonderfully and beautifully to LIVE, laugh, love and cry!

So I choose to trust the body that God gave me! I trust that if I limit the foreign substances put into my body, my body will work a lot longer they way God intends it to.

You can’t deny that we haven’t seen what the overuse of antibiotics has done to aid in the development of “super bugs”. I saw first hand with my youngest. We were up to an antibiotic that was nearing $600.00 and still were not getting results with his ear infections. Remember back then, 28 – 30 years ago, it was settled science that an ear infection = an antibiotic. Now, however, science says that many ear infections should not be treated with antibiotics. But in all these years of “settled science” how many “super bugs” did we aid in developing? How many antibiotics did we render useless for many people?

So too, I believe there is an overuse of shots to not get sick. I don’t take a flu shot because why do I want that crap in my body? There’s also always the chance that they did not guess correctly on the strain that will attack in any given year. If I get the flu than I will spend a week or so suffering and will take the over the counter treatments or a prescription. I know, it is miserable, but in 61 years I have only had the flu once since it became such a big deal to prevent.

Look at the drug pushers of today – the pharmaceutical companies, along with the government and even now with our pastors and ministers aiding their mission.

How many times do you hear of one drug that may be giving you a such and such side effect so we made another drug to combat that. That new drug will actually cause this malady so we have this drug to add to your regimen – and soon your medicine cabinet looks like a drugstore.

And pushing a dangerous vaccine of pre-teens and teens to prevent a cancer that comes from a sexually transmitted disease! How about teaching them about safe sex or maybe even chastity? Oh. but if it’s someone else’s child that is maimed or killed by the vaccine at least your child is safe.

And don’t think of me as an anti-vaxxer. My kids all had their vaccines – although if I was able to research back then I probably would have delayed some of them – and I have had mine. Including an MMR booster after the birth of my youngest and a DPT before the birth of my grandkids. The DPT was specifically for the protection of those grandbabies – not for my protection.

I also have a problem with the harvest of organs from babies to develop these vaccines. Yes, I know, the Vatican has said it is morally acceptable since it was already done – so in 20 years are they going to accept something as moral from the organs that are harvested today? Somewhere, sometime, it has to stop! I do not and will never believe that God created any baby just to have their organs harvested for someone else to play like they are god.

So perhaps instead of assuming I, or anyone else who chooses not to take an experimental emergency use jab, is uncaring, unloving, immoral, or just plain selfish. Instead of assuming we are religious fanatics or political fanatics, or labelling us as anti-vax and anti-science maybe you could open up to listen where we are coming from. Perhaps you could start treating us with a tad bit of respect that we just may have valid reasons, even if you don’t agree.

Thanks for listening – I pray we can really act like we are all children of the one and only Father.
