Big days, big decisions ahead

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thank you for this new day, this new work week. Help me to accomplish and finish what needs to be done and what I say I will do. Lord, please grant success to the work of my hands.

As I ponder you, this morning, under the disguise of Bread, I know Jesus and I believe, you are truly present here, Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity. I also know and believe that where you are, so is the Father and the Holy Spirit! Oh, what a mystery you have given us to ponder!

Jesus, let me live in your shadow. Let your light shine on me and guide me in your ways. I would be honored to be in your shadow where others see you first, before they see me.

Please bless my family and bring them to you. Put prophets in their paths to lead them to your loving embrace.

Lead those who are unemployed or underemployed, to the work you desire them to do. To the work that will sustain their family.

Mary, my Queen and my Mother, as I pray your holy rosary, please take the intentions that you know best should be heard, to your Son and ask Him to hear and answer them.

Father, thank you for my Catholic faith! Please let it grow and flourish. I believe, help my unbelief!

Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you, save souls!

The end of the journey

Father, I thank you for allowing my eyes to be open this morning to see you. Please open my heart to hear what you have to say to me. Please open my mind to the possibilities you have for me. Please grant me the fortitude and courage to follow through.

I ask that you watch over those 3 little girls while I am here with you. Let them rest in a peaceful sleep until their bodies are refreshed. Help me guide them today to be respectful young ladies who know how to have fun.

Thank you Lord for asking me to bring my family to you. What a marvelous experience it has been for me.

Someone asked me why I just didn’t pray for my entire family every day, and doing this is not to say I don’t. There is power in naming a specific person in prayer, not only that you hear that prayer, which I believe you hear and answer all our prayers, but that I think and ponder things about that person that perhaps hadn’t come to mind in years.

Like the day for Kathy. I hadn’t thought, until that day, that she has been gone longer than she was alive. And I didn’t realize I still had some things to work through with her too. That day gave me some tears but many more smiles as I remembered my big sister. Prayer truly is an awesome gift!

Father, thank you for the family you have blessed me with. So many times we forget that those you have put in our lives are a gift from you, help me treat them as the treasure they are to you and the gift they are to me.

Please bless this entire crew, and all their spouses, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all generations to come.

Lead us all and guide us in your ways, and on the paths you lay out for us. Father, please put people along those paths that will point to you. Help us to seek eternity with you, in your loving arms.

Family

Father, I pray this morning for all families, that we recognize the strength you have given us in that bond. I also pray that broken families can heal, that forgiveness and mercy are poured out, that patience and perseverance reign and that love conquers all.

Please help us see that we are all a part of the same family, your family. Let our words be kind, our gestures be thoughtful, our hearts be open and our conclusions be to the best. Let us love.

Thank you God, for this new day to make my way to you.

Bless my girls today, help them do what is asked of them and to be respectful to their parents, siblings, teachers and friends. Grant me patience to allow them to enjoy being little girls. And thank you for putting them in my life.

Please heal broken familes.

Mary, our Queen and Mother, please pray for those broken relationships, bring those families to your Son for healing. Thank you.

All you angels and saints, pray for us!

The Golden Boy

Father, can you believe, I have come to the end of my commitment of prayers to my family and thank you for waking me every day and for helping me to find the positive, even when I was feeling negative. Please help me this morning after a crummy night of non sleep.

I am really struggling with being thrown under the bus by someone I trusted, help me to forgive and to try to avoid situations where they can do that. Help me let go of these and not worry, trusting that, like always, things will work out.

Jesus, I trust in you!

When I started this prayer journey weeks ago, I asked you to decide who had what day, and I know you have reasons, that we will probably never know on this side of eternity, for where and when everyone was placed. Thank you for this ending note of the journey.

This morning Father, I bring my “golden boy” Glenn to you in my prayer. What a joy he has always been in my life! Thank you for the gift of his life and the years we got to spend together.

Father, you know the happiness children bring, you know the feelings of sadness they sometimes bring, and you know the joy when your child learns to use their wings. I would not trade any of those feelings for the world! Glenn has flown off on his own, like he should, please watch over him like only a loving parent could. Bless him in his daily walks of life.

Father, please put people in his life that truly love and care for him. Friends who want the best for him, not only in the here and now, but also in eternity.

Glenn used to have such a love for you, for Jesus, please find a way to rekindle that love in his heart, in his soul. Open his heart to hear you and to invite you back.

Grant him health of body, mind and soul. Allow him to use the many gifts you have given him, his intelligence, his wisdom (which I think sometimes is driven out by the world), his good looks, his smile and his love of people, to make this world a better place.

Father, please lead him, guide him and let your light shine on him and through him so he can be a beacon of light in a dark world. Grant success to the work of his hands.

Let Glenn feel your unconditional love for him and let him know that I will always love him, no matter what, no matter where, he will always be my “golden boy”.

This morning I offer my rosary especially for Glenn and his intentions. Father, you know best what those are. Please hear and answer them.

I also pray for Glenn’s father, Harold Glenn “Bushi”, and for Marta, may they rest in peace and may your perpetual light shine on them.

Mary, our Queen and our Mother, please take these prayers and ask your Son to hear and answer them.

Please watch over all who will be traveling today, grant them safety and successful ventures.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Izzy’s day

Father, I know you never get tired of me saying thank you, so again, thank you for waking me this morning and for this new day that I get to start out in your presence.

Please bless the girl who is resting here in your love and softly snoring, she does love you so much!

Today I bring you Izzy in my prayers. What a wonderful gift she is in our lives! And she has a piece of my heart that can never be for anyone else! You have truly blessed me, as a mother and as a grandma!

Please bless Izzy and allow your light to shine on her and through her so she can lead others to you. Keep her love for Mary strong and allow it to grow stronger everyday for through that love she will know your Son, Jesus, and invite Him into her heart.

I ask you that Izzy recognize all the gifts and talents you have given her. Let her know you have made her to be the special sparkly little girl she is, and she just needs to be herself. For in being herself, she is the best Izzy ever!

Sometimes as a middle child it’s easy to get lost in the shadow of those older and those younger, let Izzy know with your light she casts her own shadow and is not lost in anyone else’s.

Help Izzy feel your unconditional love for her. Let her know you are always here waiting for her, even for just a “hi God!” during her day.

Let Izzy continue to sparkle in the lives of all those she meets. Show her how her smile, her words and her hugs can change the world, one person at a time. Let her have love in her heart for everyone she meets.

I pray for Izzy’s parents, Harold and Rebecca, let your light shine on and through them. Bless them with healthy minds, bodies and spirits. Keep their marriage growing strong.

I pray for Izzy’s brother and sister. Felix and Colette, please also shine your light on them and let them feel the presence of your love.

I pray for all of Izzy’s friends now and to be in the future, let them be friends who truly care for her and who love you.

Please lead and guide Izzy, her family and her friends in your ways. Grant success to the work of her hands.

Mary, Mother of God, our Queen, our Mother, please take these prayers to your son and ask Him to hear and answer them. Ask your parents, Anne and Joachim to pray for Izzy and intercede for her to have a close relationship with your son.

I offer my rosary today for Izzy and her family. Lead them and guide them, help them know the path you want them on.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

Colette

Father, another new day and already so many things swirling in my head. Please help me clear those away while I concentrate on you this morning. Thank you Lord for the busyness of my business and the busyness of home, let me find true rest from all of it in you.

This morning I bring to you, in my prayer, Colette. Oh sweet Colette. She had my heart from the start. Thank you for the gift of her life and the honor of being her grandma. Help me be the guide for her that you desire me to be.

Please bless Colette. Let her love for you grow daily. Allow her to feel your unconditional love for her.

Let her have an open heart to receive Jesus into and to hold Him in her heart for all time. Please shower her in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Help Colette recognize her talents as gifts from you. Her artistic skills, her ability to retain knowledge, her curiosity, all your gifts. Help her develop those talents for the good of herself and those around her. Please let her realize we have all been given different gifts, different talents and to recognize the gifts and talents of others.

Please allow Colette to see what a difference a smile, a kind word or a hug makes in the lives of others and in turn, changes the world.

As Colette approaches time to be a student, grant her patience to listen and try, and to know it’s okay to make a mistake for some of our best lessons are through our biggest mistakes. Grant success to the work of her hands.

As you bless Colette, please let your light shine on her and through her so she can share that light with her family, her friends and the world.

Lead her and guide her in your ways and if it’s an evangelist you have designed her to be please lead her on that path.

Bless her parents, Harold and Rebecca, strengthen their marriage and their family to walk in your ways. Help them be the parents, and the people you have designed them to be.

Bless her brother and sister, let your light shine on Izzy & Felix for all to see. Help them love all they meet.

Grant them all healthy bodies, minds and spirits.

Bless Colette’s friends and all future friends, let them be true friends who care about her eternal soul.

Mary, Mother of God, our Queen, our Mother, please take these prayers to your son and ask Him to hear and answer them. Ask your parents, Anne and Joachim to pray for Colette and intercede for her to have a close relationship with your son.

I offer my rosary today for Colette and her family. Lead them and guide them, help them know the path you want them on.

Kayla

Father, thank you for the new day, for the new week. I also thank you for the rain, I know you hold the world in your hands, including the weather, and I accept your will for I know I cannot fathom the reason and I do believe you have reason for everything!

When I put the names of my family in a hat and asked you to give them their days, I love that you put my 3 favorite little girls together and in order of age. They always bring a smile to my face when I think about them.

Today is Kayla’s day. I bring her to you in these prayers and my prayers throughout today. Please make my entire day worthy to be a prayer to you and for Kayla.

What a special little girl you have gifted us with in Kayla. She is my first born grandbaby that I have had the privilege of knowing since birth. She will always hold that special place in my heart, something that no one, nothing or no time can take away.

Please bless Kayla, let her know your love. Let her feel your love. I so want Kayla to know she will always be loved by you and I want her to love you.

Help Kayla develop the gifts you have given her, the artistic leanings, the easy way she learns, the beautiful face and heart. Please also help her recognize gifts in others and that you have gifted us all differently. Let her know it’s okay to be better at some things and it’s okay if others are better than you in other things. We all have different gifts to fit together and make the world go round!

More than anything, I want Kayla to know Jesus and ask Him to live in her heart. I want her to see His love for her.

Help me be the grandma that Kayla needs, the grandma that you desire me to be. And thank you for the honor of being her hamma!

Lord, please give success to the work of her hands. Grant her health of body and mind.

Let your light shine on Kayla and through Kayla so she can bring light and joy to everyone she meets. Let her know a smile and kind word goes a long way to change the world.

Bless her parents, strengthen their marriage to keep their family strong. Teach them to invite you into their marriage, into their family.

Bless her brother and sister, keep them growing towards you. Help them find you so they can feel your unconditional love.

Mary, Mother of God, our Queen, our Mother, please take these prayers to your son and ask Him to hear and answer them. Ask your parents, Anne and Joachim to pray for Kayla and intercede for her to have a close relationship with your son.

Powerful Sunday – Every Saint has a past and Every Sinner has a future

Then I said, “Woe is me, I am doomed!
For I am a man of unclean lips,
living among a people of unclean lips;
yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”
Then one of the seraphim flew to me,
holding an ember that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

He touched my mouth with it, and said,
“See, now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed, your sin purged.”
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?”
“Here I am,” I said; “send me!

And Jesus tells us “Do not be afraid.”

Father, I come before you this morning, still with the taste of Jesus’ Body in my mouth, please help me, make me worthy of being a tabernacle for your Son. As His Body & Blood meld with my body & blood, make me more like Him.

Father, I pray for our priests, bishops and the pope; let your light shine on them and through them so they can be beacons leading this dark world to you, no matter the cost.

Ignite their faith and love to set the world on fire for you!

Use me Lord, as you will. Lead me, guide me and I will go. Allow me to be a fisher of men.

This morning I offer my rosary for those who dine and dash from Mass. Open the eyes of parents to see that the spiritual lives of their children is much more important then a soccer or basketball game. Eternity is a long time!

Father, bless all who visit your Son today. Hear their prayers and answer them in your will.

Mary, Mother most holy, please take these intentions and all the intentions known only to God, to your Son, Jesus. Ask him to hear these prayers and answer them.

Ignite our souls with faith and inflame our hearts with love!

Here I am Lord, send me.

For Rebecca

Father, another week has passed, thank you for all the opportunities you have given me to share your love, your gifts with others. Thank you for this new day. Help me to make all of my thoughts, words and actions worthy to be a prayer.

This morning Father, I bring you my daughter in my prayers and I pray especially for Rebecca and her intentions.

Thank you Father for the gift of Rebecca in my life. What a joy and blessing it is to have the honor of being her mother.

Please bless Rebecca and let your light shine on her and through her so that by her words, actions and prayers she leads others to you.

Father, please grant her health of body and mind. Give her peace and security and help her be the wife, the mother, and the person you designed her to be.

Bless Harold. Let your light also shine on him and through him. Give them love and strength in their marriage to face each new challenge together, knowing that you are also with them.

Let them truly trust in you.

Please bless their children, and all future generations to come. Let them all be beacons of your light to all they meet. Allow them all to know and love your Son, Jesus Christ, and to invite Him into their hearts and lives.

This morning I offer my rosary especially for Becky and her intentions. Father, you know best what those are. Please hear and answer them.

Mary, our Queen and our Mother, please take these prayers and ask your Son to hear and answer them.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Outside of ourselves

Father, thank you for waiting for me here. Thank you for the gift of faith, I believe, help my unbelief.

Father, it seems one of the dangers, and there are so many, of these one and two children families is that they are isolated and never learn to see or be outside of theirselves. They spend so much time with MY toys, in MY room, in MY clothes, MY time, etc., that they don’t learn to automatically share, they can’t see the need of another and their first thought is “how does that effect me?” Or “what’s in it for me?”.

We have done such a disservice to the world, to you, in raising up people who don’t know how to disagree and still be family. People who think one cross word means hate instead that someone might be having a bad day.

We have lost family. Please forgive us. Help us break down the walls we have used to divide into MY space, into MY time, into MY toys. Teach us to share and treat everyone as family, for we are all your children. We are family.

If an old dog can learn new tricks, help me help others.

Thank you God for YOUR time, YOUR space, YOUR family, YOUR toys that you share as gifts to me. Help me appreciate and share.

Amen
