About Me

Like the title of my blog suggests, I’m a grandma – the best thing that ever happened to me! And with the maturity to be a grandma also came the extra padding so the girls can nap comfortably!

There are 3 little girls that have every bit of my heart! They make me laugh! They make me cry! They make my heart flutter! We have the absolutely best conversations – many times they make more sense than most adults I am around!

We have fun! We paint. We play in bubbles. We have dance parties. We run in the park. We play in bubble baths or our large shower (all 3 can fit in there with me and have room to run!). We read. We watch Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, Dinosaur Train and every Disney and Pixar movie we can get. We sing and we sing! Sometimes we have dinners of peanut butter sandwiches, Doritos and cookies!

These 3 little girls are taking us on the Grand adventure of life and we are absolutely loving it!

I am also a cradle Catholic and the middle child from a family of 15 kids. My parents raised us in the Church but I turned my back on not only the Church, but also on God. I was woman, hear me roar and I was not going to be guided by any guy trying to tell me how to live my life.

Well, my life got out of control and I found my way back (or it’s more likely that God led me back) to God and the Church of my youth. There was still many, many parts of the doctrine and dogma I had problems with but one thing I decided, if I was going to be Catholic, then I needed to be Catholic! That meant that I had to read. I had to listen. I had to pray. And what kept coming to me was, the Catholic Church holds over 2000 years of wisdom in her bosom and who was I to even pretend I may know more than that? Who would I be to claim that the Holy Spirit guides me better than He guides the Church?

So the only reasonable step was to step out on faith and believe what the Church teaches – and then strive to understand what and why. Now I am proud to say the #dogmalivesloudly in me!

This life is an amazing journey full of miracles that are gifted to us everyday! Hopefully I can share some of those everyday miracles here, with you!!!
