It was pride that caused angels to fall and become devils, and it is humility that leads normal people to become saints.
Sweet Theresa
Of Father, this world is difficult- what was black is now white, up is down, wrong is right and it’s hard to know who to trust, who to believe, even among your shepherds.
Please send the gift of fortitude – courage – on your people, on your church, so we have the strength to walk in your ways and not in the way of the world.
Theresa, sweet Theresa is in my heart today and I bring her to you. Please accept my prayers for her soul and for her girls, Amber and Erica. What an example of suffering in faith she was, she is. Oh, the courage and trust she displayed! Help us all learn from her example.
Please bless and keep the girls, let your light shine on and through them so they can be beacons of hope for others. Grant success to the work of their hands.
Bless all of Theresa’s grandchildren to be, oh how she would have loved to be a grandma!
Help me live by her example.
I offer my rosary today for Theresa and her intentions, Lord, you know best where these prayers are needed, please make them efficacious.
Mary, our most holy mother, please take these prayers to your Son, ask that He hear and answer them.
Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.
Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!
Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for all who will die today, especially those who have no one to pray for them.
Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you! Save souls!
Saint Michael, pray for us!

The 26th already
Good morning Father, thank you for another day to give you glory! Thank you for all the gifts you have for me today, especially the gift of time. Help me to appreciate every second of that gift, even when it’s spent cleaning house, let that be a chore that I offer back to you in thanksgiving for having a roof over our heads and having the capability of freely moving to clean.
Send the gift of counsel – right judgement – on your Church! It’s so obvious we need that now! From the top down and the bottom up!
Today Father, I bring you the eldest brother in our family, Michael. He has become such a faithful disciple of your Son, please bless him and let his faith grow stronger everyday, every minute.
I thank you for the gift of Mike in my life for, as you well know, he started me on a path 40 years ago that I still walk today. Boy, who would have ever thought?! I know your hand was in that but neither of us saw that then.
Father, I pray for the soul of Vicky and ask her to pray for us if she doesn’t need these prayers.
Please continue to shine your light on and through Michael, let him feel your love and share that love with others. Let him be a spark to set someone’s heart on fire with faith

Unborn Child by Seals & Croft – 1974
Oh little baby, you’ll never cry, nor will you hear a sweet lullabye. Oh unborn child, if you only knew just what your momma was plannin’ to do. You’re still a-clingin’ to the tree of life, but soon you’ll be cut off before you get ripe. Oh unborn child, beginning to grow inside your momma, but you’ll never know. Oh tiny bud, that grows in the womb, only to be crushed before you can bloom. Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over. Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over. Stop, turn around, go back think it over. Oh no momma, just let it be. You’ll never regret it, just wait and see. Think of all the great ones who gave everything That we might have life here, so please bear the pain. Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over. Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over. Stop, turn around, go back think it over.
Friday
Father, these weeks go by so fast – so much to do – please nudge me to remember to always see your goodness in my busy-ness ( funny that’s really business!)
Thank you for the work and the week behind, grant success to the work of our hands in the time ahead.
I bring you today everyone I work with, work for, or am associated with. I especially bring you everyone working on our large project and their families and friends, let us all work together to achieve the final goal and let that final goal be a good for all.

I pray for all who are transitioning in life, whether it be work, home or family. Perhaps they are changing jobs, perhaps it’s moving on to an empty nest, perhaps it’s welcoming a new life or perhaps it’s facing an illness, give them peace, strength and courage to take each new step.
Lord, I pray for the gift of understanding, to know the whats and whys of how you want us to live for you. Please take every bit of my heart!

Father, please allow your priests to see the Face of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Set your Church on fire with faith!

For Dad
Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to acknowledge that you are my God! The God who made Heaven and earth, the God of the universe! Maker of all seen and unseen!
And you designed my family and every soul in it! Thank you for such marvelous, wonderful, beautiful people you put in my life!
Today I especially thank you for my Dad. I still miss him but enjoy the hope that he has already heard “well done my good and faithful servant” and prays for all of us still struggling here on this side of eternity.
Dad, you shaped the image of God in my heart, in my soul, in my mind. I know a good father always welcomes his children back, no matter what they have done. I also know a good father makes you clean up your own mess and suffer the consequences of your actions, all the while loving you right through.
Dad, when I think about how safe I felt in your arms, I feel that same comfort and protection when I humble myself to be held in God’s arms. Thank you Dad! Thank you Father!
My prayer today is for Dad and all he has left behind and all who have gone to their eternity. I especially pray for Mom, I know how much she misses Dad and would love to hear “Jackie” just one more time. Give her peace and comfort.
Let’s pray for all those many diverse personalities you call your kids, for their kids, and their kids and all generations to come! Oh Dad, how I wish my grandchildren could know you! What a treasure they are! What a treasure you are!
Thank you for passing on the Catholic faith to me and praying me back to the church!
Father, if these prayers I offer for Dad are not needed for him, please make them efficacious where you know best and Dad, please pray with me and for me.
Mary, our Queen and Mother, I offer my rosary today for Dad and all his intentions. Please take these prayers to your Son and ask Him to answer and grant these requests.

Baby, it’s cold outside, but so warm in here
Father, thank you for your goodness and mercy towards me. Thank you for a roof over my head and a furnace that works. Please bless and warm all those who walk the streets without shelter. Put your disciples in their paths to help them.
I also need to thank you for the gift of Colette on this, her 6th birthday. I cannot imagine a greater gift than that of being grandma!
Today I bring Liane in my prayers. I pray for her, lead her in your light and let her put her trust in you. I pray for Bob, let your light shine in him. Strengthen their marriage as they enter a new chapter of their life. Make it an example to others.
I pray for their children and grandchildren and for all generations to come, may they continue to love, trust and hope in you.

The sound of silence
Father, how many in today’s world stop to enjoy complete silence? How can they hear you through all the noises of this life? Thank you for this quiet time with you this morning. Please bless my ears to hear you and my heart to take it in.
This morning I bring you my brother David. Thank you for the time he gives to Mom, he is a good son. Please give him abundant blessings on all these efforts.
I ask that you keep Dave in your loving embrace and let your light shine in him for others. Please bless his children and shine your light on them.
Bless his friend, Dianne, along with all his friends and colleagues. Let their relationships give glory to you.
Please give success to the work of his hands.

Why oh why do we jump to conclusions?
Father, these students from Covington Catholic have been weighing on my mind. They are just children, your children.
The way so many jumped to conclusions without weighing, or even seeing all of the evidence. People who were not there anointed themselves prosecutor, jury and judge and condemned these students without a trial, and with a condemnation that will follow them through their entire lives.
Father, please send your holy angels to surround and protect them. Please let them feel the force of your love in their lives.
Mary, please surround them with your mantel and protect them from all harm.
Father, I also pray for those who condemned these children without a trial, open their hearts and minds to wait and see all evidence before they judge.
I also pray for the others involved in this, that they strive to be truthful in all they say and do. And that they don’t falsify an incident for 15 minutes of fame or for a means to justify an end.
And I need to bring the media and place them at your feet. They seem to only want to stir hate and division in this country, in this world. And there seem to be none of them who follow you and your Word.
Again, please protect these students and keep them from all harm. Grant them courage and strength to face the days ahead knowing that you hold them in the palm of your hand.
I offer my rosary today for all involved and I earnestly pray that no one ends up with blood on their hands.
All of this I plead through our Lord, Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit, for you are one God forever and ever.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls.

Saint Michael the archangel defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou, o Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
