For Mary, my sister

Lord, I do love spending time with you, one on one, oh but, how I wish these pews were filled! How I wish Catholics really believed and understood you are here, Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity, you are here truly in the Flesh just waiting for us to come share part of the day with you. Jesus, please bless and hear the prayers of everyone who comes to talk with you today.

This morning I bring you my sister Mary. What a gift she has been and is in the lives of so many! What an example she is for others to see that loving a person unconditionally does not mean that we blithely accept their sin. We love them despite their sin and in the hope that one day they will leave it aside. She surely wants to love them to eternity with you.

I ask you to bless Mary today and all days. Give success to the work of her hands and fruitfulness to her teaching and prayers. She evangelizes with her life and example, keep your flame of love, hope and faith burning bright in her.

I also ask you to bless Mary’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all generations to come. Let your love surround them, let them feel your presence in their lives.

Please also accept prayers for the reposed soul of Fred, may he find eternal rest in you. If he doesn’t need the prayers, you know who does.

Mary, Mother of God, our Queen and Mother, please take these prayers to your Son and ask that He grant them. I offer my Rosary this morning especially for Mary and her intentions. Mary, you know best what she needs – please intercede for those needs.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for all who will die today, especially those who have no one to pray for them.

Jesus, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you. I beg your pardon on all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love you. Especially those in my family. Bring them back Lord, please bring them back.

Father, this morning I humbly bring you my entire family, one candle for Mom & Dad and each sibling and their family.

Father, please help me love you more!

Jesus, please help me love you more!

Holy Spirit, please help me love you more!

I believe, help my unbelief!

Mary, Mother of God, no one knows a son better than his mother, please lead me and show me how to love your Son more!

Just another Thursday

Lord, thank you for this time together. I need you in my life and the life of my family. It is easy to let activities overwhelm me so that I lose track of you. You fade into the distance, and sometimes sin grows closer. But I know you are always there for me with your unconditional love. Thank you. I love you and long to put you first in my life.

So today I bring you me. That seems weird to me, but I think it is exactly what you want – for me to lay it all, including myself, at the foot of your Cross. So here I am Lord, please do with me as you will.

A clean heart create for me Lord! I know that only saints get into Heaven, please lead me and help me on that road. I do want to spend eternity with you.

Please bless Skip, lead him where You want him.

Bless Adam & Vickie, strengthen their marriage, and help them find you. Bless Derick, Taylor & Kayla, let your light shine on them, in them and through them.

Bless Rebecca & Harold, strengthen their marriage and keep them true to you. Bless Colette, Izzy and Felix, let your light shine on them, in them and through them.

Oh and Glenn, my golden boy. Lord, please bring him back! He used to love you so much I know he feels a hole in his heart. Please bless him and keep him safe on his journey back.

Please bless and hear the prayers of all who stop to visit with you today. Bless all my clients and colleagues, lead them to you. Allow them to see miracles in their lives.

Heal families torn apart by greed, mistrust, misunderstanding, hurt feelings, and other things. Strengthen all our families to be able to stand up to the enemy.

And finally Jesus, I want to be free, but I need your help. Without you, I can do nothing. Help me to trust you and to turn to you. Don’t let me go off on my own as if I could keep fighting without you. Free me to love you. Free me to love others.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls!

Ignite my soul with the fire of faith and inflame my heart with your love!

Because she said yes….

Lord, thank you for this time we will spend together. I wish to step away from the world and all its activities to be alone with you now. You are my beginning and my end: you created me, and you are leading me home to you in heaven. Thank you for your love. I know I deserve nothing from you and that my sins compound my unworthiness, yet you would still enfold me in your unfathomable love.

This morning I bring Mom to you and offer all my day as a prayer for her intentions.

Wow God, look what we all got because Mom said yes. First she said yes to Dad, then she said yes to you in your Church, and then they said yes to being open to life in their marriage and we have this wonderful, diverse, gigantic, talented, loving group called family. All because of one little word – yes!

Father, please bless Mom today and everyday, send her strength and patience to face the pains she has and give her relief when it is your will.

As I pray for Mom today, I also pray for Dad, eternal rest grant unto him, what a pair they were! They are! Mom and Dad were the model for saying yes to love everyday even though love did not mean mushy, romantic, goosebump feeling to be true love. Their example showed us love meant working through dirty diapers, financial struggles, broken toys, sibling fights, loads and loads and loads of laundry, hours of cooking and dishes, cleaning house and cleaning house again, and cleaning house again, and all those other mundane chores, all because it was for the good of the other. It was the covenant made with the yes. Thank you Lord for the example you gifted us with in Mom and Dad.

I pray for all their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and for all their future generations, which could be as numerous as the stars in the sky.

I pray for Mom’s parents and siblings and all of her ancestors, give them rest and peace.

Thank you for the gift of Mom in our lives and the gift of her yes.

Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, today I offer my rosary for Mom and her intentions. Please take these prayers to your Son and ask Him to hear and answer them.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for all who will die today, especially those who have no one to pray for them.

Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you! Save souls!

Please bless and keep Mom in your loving arms and let your light shine on her and through her to others.

For Adam

Father, thank you for this new day. Thank you for being present to us in our time. Help us to remember that you meet us in chronos time, the only time we can understand, but your time is kairos time, which we cannot understand but only need to trust. Teach us to not put you in a box of our understanding but to let you be God, our God, the almighty! For we know, nothing is impossible for you!

Today Lord, is for Adam. My first born that gave me the title of mother. Oh what a gift with all the ups and downs and all the lessons learned and earned! Thank you, I wouldn’t trade a moment for anything!

Keep Adam on this path of manhood and fatherhood he has traveled so well in the last several years. Give him strength, courage, fortitude, and faith to continue on this path.

Bless Adam and Vickie, strengthen their marriage and hold them close to you in your protective arms. Bless their children and let them feel your love.

Let Adam look to Saint Joseph as a role model. He is a perfect example of fidelity to your will, holiness in marriage and the sanctity of human work. Give success to the work of his hands.

Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, today I offer my rosary for Adam and his intentions. Please take these prayers to your Son and ask Him to hear and answer them.

Please watch over all who will be traveling – allow safe journeys and successful ventures.

Ignite our souls with the grace of faith and inflame our hearts with your Love!

Jesus, Mary & Joseph, I love you! Save souls!

Saint Teresa has this to say about St. Joseph: “
“I took for my advocate and lord the glorious Saint Joseph and commended myself earnestly to him; and I found that this my father and lord delivered me both from this trouble and also from other and greater troubles concerning my honor and the loss of my soul, and that he gave me greater blessings than I could ask of him. I do not remember even now that I have ever asked anything of him which he has failed to grant. I am astonished at the great favors which God has bestowed on me through this blessed saint, and at the perils from which He has freed me, both in body and in soul. To other saints the Lord seems to have given grace to succor us in some of our necessities but of this glorious saint my experience is that he succors us in them all and that the Lord wishes to teach us that as He was Himself subject to him on earth (for, being His guardian and being called His father, he could command Him) just so in Heaven He still does all that he asks. This has also been the experience of other persons whom I have advised to commend themselves to him; and even to-day there are many who have great devotion to him through having newly experienced this truth.” “I wish I could persuade everyone to be devoted to this glorious saint, for I have great experience of the blessings which he can obtain from God. I have never known anyone to be truly devoted to him and render him particular services who did not notably advance in virtue, for he gives very real help to souls who commend themselves to him. For some years now, I think, I have made some request of him every year on his festival and I have always had it granted. If my petition is in any way ill directed, he directs it aright for my greater good.”

“I only beg, for the love of God, that anyone who does not believe me will put what I say to the test, and he will see by experience what great advantages come from his commending himself to this glorious patriarch and having devotion to him. Those who practice prayer should have a special affection for him always. I do not know how anyone can think of the Queen of the Angels, during the time that she suffered so much with the Child Jesus, without giving thanks to Saint Joseph for the way he helped them. If anyone cannot find a master to teach him how to pray, let him take this glorious saint as his master and he will not go astray.” (Autobiography Chapter 6).

It’s Bonfire of prayer Friday

Thank you Father for always being here for me especially through the presence of your Son, Jesus. I believe Jesus that you are here, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! And where you are, also is the Father and the Holy Spirit! Oh how you have blessed me!

Please hear my prayers this morning. I pray for all those who are sick and suffering, especially Donna and Kayla. Give them strength, comfort and courage to unite their sufferings with Christ’s.

I pray for their medical teams to make a proper diagnosis and path of treatment. Bless their hands so that they are hands of healing.

I pray for their caregivers, parents and children, give them the patience and strength needed to be the necessary support.

I pray for families, especially those who are divided – bring us back together for we know, the family is one of the main defenses against the enemy.

I pray for all those I work with and for, help us all be courageous enough to admit when we make a mistake.

For my family, bless us all and let your light shine on us – even if it highlights something we don’t want to see. Allow us to feel your loving presence.

Mary, Mother of God, our beloved mother, please take these prayers to your Son and ask Him to answer them if it be the Father’s will.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever, amen.

Today is for Harold

Father, I come to you today trying to leave the frustrations of every day work life behind knowing that those frustrations should not be strong enough to get me down when I truly put my hope and trust in you. All these bumps and bruises will pass while you will remain and stay the loving Father walking with me.

This day I pray especially for Harold, my son in law. Thank you for the gift of his life and for adding him to our family tree. What a blessing he is to my daughter and grandchildren!

Help Harold continue to be a faithful child of yours. Help him continue to lead his family to your loving arms so they learn to trust and believe you are always there for them – through everything!

Bless and keep Harold and Rebecca, let their marriage and family continue to be a strong bulwark against the enemy. Bless their babies, Colette, Izzy, and Felix, let them be lights that shine for others.

Saint Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for all who will die today, especially those who have no one to pray for them.

I heard this yesterday from Saint Stephen of Hungary and wanted to share it:

My beloved son, delight of my heart, hope of your posterity, I pray, I command, that at every time and in everything, strengthened by your devotion to me, you may show favor not only to relations and kin, or to the most eminent, be they leaders or rich men or neighbors or fellow-countrymen, but also to foreigners and to all who come to you. By fulfilling your duty in this way you will reach the highest state of happiness. Be merciful to all who are suffering violence, keeping always in your heart the example of the Lord who said, “I desire mercy and not sacrifice.” Be patient with everyone, not only with the powerful, but also with the weak. Finally be strong lest prosperity lift you up to much or adversity cast you down. Be humble in this life, that God may raise you up in the next. Be truly moderate and do not punish or condemn anyone immoderately. Be gentle so that you may never oppose justice. Be honorable so that you may never voluntarily bring disgrace upon anyone. Be chaste so that ;you may avoid all the foulness of lust like the pangs of death. All these virtues I have noted above make up the royal crown, and without them no one is fit to rule here on earth or attain to the heavenly kingdom. – from Saint Stephen’s advice to his son
